Absoloutely zero editing. The rainbow are caused by little ridges in the scales that act like a prism - pretty freakin awesome. Was trying to get a good picture, but she was absoloutely fascinated by teh flash xD Rather like that it caught her eye though :3

For the record, Leilani's a Brazilian Rainbow Boa, about 7 months old, 2ft long and maybe a centimeter and a half wide. Still small n_n Will get to about 7ft eventually.

It really depends, the snake itself was about $180, the entire set up close to 300 - however, they live up to 30 years, so it's a fair investment in the long run. Gorgeous though they are, they require far more work and knowledge than a corn snake, but can make fabulous pets if you do the research. If you need any advice, please message me =]

Thanks, but it'll be awhile before I deal with snakes. I'll need a good chunk of money just to feed one, lol
Honestly, I sort of had a snake once. It was a catch-and-release deal with a baby eastern Hognose I found in my backyard one August, and once I relocated a Scarlet snake a friend dug up while gardening..
I'll stick with my larval newts and urchins-err, I mean turtles, for a bit longer :)
